MISSION STATEMENT

Florence Rural Fire District is to provide residents, within the established legal boundaries of the Fire District, services supplied by trained volunteer personnel, which may include, but are not limited to, fire suppression, emergency medical aid, rescue and fire prevention with the resources available to the fire district.

Since our inception, the Florence Rural Fire District has been defined by a singular commitment: the safety and well-being of our community. We carry the legacy of our predecessors with pride, maintaining a standard of rapid emergency response and advanced safety protocols. Our district is not just a department; we are a dedicated collective of responders trained to face challenges with precision and unwavering courage, ensuring Florence remains a prepared and protected home for all.

Station 1 - West Florence

Station 1 – 234 Holloway Ln, Florence, MT 59833

 

Opened in 2009, Station 1 serves as the administrative headquarters for the district. The station’s versatile fleet is ready for any environment, consisting of two structural engines, three wildland engines, one water tender, a Quick Response Unit (QRU), and a water/backcountry response vehicle.

Station 2 - East Florence

Station 2 – 562 Hidden Valley Rd N, Florence, MT 59833

Opened in 2014, Station 2 was built to meet the needs of the expanding Florence community on the east side of the district. It houses a fleet of two wildland engines, one water tender, and a Duty Officer/command unit.

Vehicle Storage Facility 

Vehicle Storage Facility – 233 Holloway Ln, Florence, MT 59833

The District’s Vehicle Storage Facility is housed in the repurposed former Florence car wash. This specialized site provides essential indoor protection for our equipment, including an EMS UTV, a wildland UTV, generator/light trailer and a staff vehicle.

Board of Trustees Meetings

The Florence Rural Fire District Board of Trustees meets on the third Monday of every month at 7:00 PM Mountain Standard Time at Florence Fire Station 1, 234 Holloway Lane, Florence, MT. Community members are welcome to attend.
